Position Overview:
We are looking for a Trip Designer to join our dynamic team. The Trip Designer will be responsible for creating, planning, pricing, and ensuring the profitability of our retreat itineraries.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player, adept at sourcing and synthesizing travel quotes from a variety of suppliers into cohesive and detailed itineraries and budgets. Fluent professional English, both written and spoken, is required for this role. Familiarity with the US travel market and strong knowledge of North American, Caribbean, and Central American destinations are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Travel Planning:
Meet or exceed established travel planning and profitability goals by designing comprehensive retreat itineraries.

Itinerary Design: Incorporate a wide range of elements such as hotels, facilitators, activities, suppliers, transportation, meals, and special guests into well-structured retreat plans.

Budget Management: Prepare detailed, line-itemized trip budgets, ensuring pricing accuracy and ownership of details.

Data Entry: Carefully input trip planning and budgeting information into Trip Logs following company processes.

Supplier Management: Request, receive, and evaluate terms and pricing from hotels and third-party suppliers to ensure quality and value.

Destination Research: Research and develop new destinations, sourcing quality hotels and suppliers.

Requirements:

- 2+ years of experience in group travel and/or wellness retreat planning.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple planning projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and proactive, driven to hit timelines and close sales.
- Solid financial management skills with experience managing budgets.
- Fluent professional English, both written and spoken.
- Familiarity with the US travel market and strong knowledge of North American, Caribbean, and Central American destinations preferred.
- Sales experience, active lifestyle experience (e.g., yoga, biking, hiking, water sports), and previous experience as a guide/tour leader or in event/festival planning are preferred.
